Welcome to iCORE/Xerox/Markin Research Chair Website!

Our aim is to advance research on the innovative paradigms, architectures and implementations of wireless learning applications and systems for individualised and adaptive learning in an increasingly global environment. To bridge the gap among different types of learners, the research is targeted to provide advanced infrastructure features for distance learners in formal, informal and non-formal learning environments with multi-criteria adaptation.

This research provides opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to work with local community organisations, local industry, national and international professional organisations, and international research institutions. The provided research environment aims at contributing significantly to future generations of highly skilled researchers in the ITC sector in Alberta and providing direct technology transfer for possible commercialization. Furthermore, through involving international experts and bringing them on short visits, the emerging local researchers can be further up-skilled and international links are strengthened.

We are always keen to explore further collaboration opportunities, with our students, alumni, national and international research groups, and companies interested in research partnerships in the areas related to this chair. Please feel free to contact us at:
